Literature Text

Crawled my way back from nowhere
on bloodied hands and feet.

With blackened eyes and broken bones
I searched the dark for me.

Yet in that darkness I did find
a creature not so fair

whom has long been hidden
in that creepy, dungeon lair.

Though it was I that crawl back
from that edge which nearly killed me,

'Twas not I that stood and left
and walked away home free.

For in my blinded state,
the creature caused me wounds

so she could take my place,
walking amongst all of you.

So if you notice strangeness
from the one you once called friend

I can assure you, assure you all
it is not I that hath ascend!

Though the beast may look like me
I beg you don't be fooled!

For she is a vicious demon
Up to no good!

Which goes to prove that if ever
you are looking for yourself

do not not search in darkness
for you shall discover hell.

Very good.
Interesting concept, true. Don't look for yourself in the dark.
