The Fall

You led me up the mountain
Showed me all the beauty in the world
Made me feel important
Like we were untouchable

Then you led me to the edge
To show just how high we were
When I looked over to see
Your hand was on my back

I struggled to get upright
But it was much too late
With just a slight push forward
I plummeted over the edge

I screamed at you to save me
To pull me back up
But your ears are deaf to my voice now
I have given up

Spread my arms
Cool wind surrounds me
And in my mind's eye
I can still see you smiling

I'm falling towards the rocks below
But even the fall is beautiful
